2024 STREET STOCK RULES

Engine 

  1. The number one (1) spark plug must align itself in a perpendicular line with the center of the upper ball joint for each manufacturer.
  2. Cast iron engine blocks only.
    1. Aftermarket steel blocks are ok.
    2.  No aluminum blocks!
  3. 23-degree cylinder heads of any make are permitted. 2024: ALUMINUM HEADS OK
  4. Roller tip and roller type rocker arms will be permitted.
  5. Roller cams allowed.
  6. Cast iron or aluminum intake manifolds will be permitted.
  7. Cast iron or aftermarket exhaust headers will be permitted.
    1. Exhaust flow must exit away from the car.
  8. Stock HEI or MSD ignitions are permitted.
    1. MSD box must be out of drivers reach.
  9. Conventional or aluminum radiators will be permitted.
  10. Only one 2 Barrel or one 4 Barrel Carburetor allowed.
  11. Only mechanical fuel pumps will be permitted.
  12. All cars must be equipped with an operable starter in working condition.

Drivetrain 

  1. Any OEM production type transmissions permitted.
  2. Bert, Brinn, Falcon type transmissions are permitted.
  3. The drive shaft must be a minimum two (2) inch diameter.
  4. The drive shaft must be painted white and clearly labeled with the car number of the white portion of the drive shaft for the duration of the entire race season.
  5. At least one 360-degree drive shaft loop will be required, mounted six (6) inches from the front universal joint. A second drive shaft loop is recommended and must be placed within 12” inches of the front universal joint.

Chassis

  1. Only American manufactured cars and/or full size “uni-body” type cars will be permitted.
    1. Camaros are ok.
  2. All vehicles must maintain a minimum of 107” inch wheelbase.
    1. There cannot be more than 1-inch difference in wheelbase from side to side.
  3. The rear frame may be replaced from the rear shock absorber mounts towards the rear of the car.
  4. Motor must match the make of the car. GM to GM, Ford to Ford.

Weight

  1. All cars must weigh 3,000lbs minimum at all times.
  2. All weights must be securely mounted with two (2) ½” inch bolts securing them to the frame in a positive manner.
    1. The weight(s) must be painted white with the car number clearly marked on them.
  3. All weights must be mounted under the body of the car.

Fuel Cells & Fuel

  1. Gas, alcohol and E85 allowed.
  2. The fuel cell must be securely mounted in the rear of the car and secured with straps. It is recommended that the fuel cell be mounted solidly to the rear frame rails of the vehicle in a fabricated manner.
  3. All fuel cells must be enclosed in a metal container.
  4. The fuel cell must be a steel container with a minimum of two (2) one (1) inch by 1/8” inch steel straps on each side of the container to mount the fuel cell. A couple loops of plumber’s strap will not suffice for this, these tanks must be secured solid.

Body

  1. Body must be mounted in stock OEM location centered between the wheels. No exposed tubing or bracing outside of the body line of the car.
  2. Body may be steel or aluminum.
  3. All glass, chrome and upholstery must be removed.
  4. After market body kits are legal, either plastic or aluminum.
  5. Nose piece must be OEM or aftermarket racing nose.
  6. Maximum of 3 inches of rake from the front of the windshield to the rear furthest point of the roof.
  7. Station wagons and Truck bodies are allowed.
  8. Up to 1.5″ wicker bill allowed on rear of roof.
  9. Truck body must have a non-sloped deck to the rear tail panel.
  10. Rear sail panels need to be a minimum of 3 inches from spoiler sides. Station wagons must have openings in the sails.
  11. Rear spoiler is to be 8” tall by 69” wide maximum. Three vertical spoiler braces are permitted but cannot be higher or past the rear of the spoiler. Maximum spoiler supports are 8” tall connecting to the spoiler, 23” inches long towards the rear axle and must taper from 8” to 4.5” at the spoiler braces starting point.
  12. Mirrors of any kind are not allowed.
  13. Rub Rails may be used but must mount flush to the body from the front tire to the rear quarter with no sharp edges. 1 inch in diameter maximum.
  14. Full un-altered template bodies from front to rear are allowed.
  15. You may enclose the compartment to the right of the driver with aluminum or steel. The rake on the interior from the dash to the start of the tail piece can only be maximum of 3 inches.
  16. Must be securely mounted, NO hinge type filler panels.

Suspension, Steering, Brakes 

  1. All suspension components must remain in their OEM mounting locations for the year, make and model of the vehicle except for racing shocks. Out Board Shocks are ok. 
  2. Bump stops are permitted.
  3. 2024: Steel Body Twin Tube and Steel Body Monotube gas shocks are permitted.
    1. No remote reservoir shocks.
    2. Bulb style, Base Valve shocks, OK.
  4. The steering shaft may be a collapsible shaft.
  5. Aftermarket steering wheel and quick release are permitted.
  6. Aftermarket upper A frame mounts are permitted.
  7. Aftermarket steering components will be permitted.
    1. Aftermarket steering components must be similar and/or replacement in type to the OEM application for the make and model of the vehicle.
    2. Heims style tie rods are ok.
  8. All components and mounts must be steel, and in an OEM location.
    1. Aftermarket upper A- frames allowed. No tubular lowers allowed.
  9. Floater rear ends OK. 2024: QUICK CHANGE REARENDS ALLOWED
    1.  No limited slip or equivalent allowed.
  10. The lower rear trailing arms must remain in stock frame location. The upper trailing arms must be mounted in the stock location.
  11. Leaf-type springs will be permitted. Only stock OEM type magnetic steel leaf spring(s) stack(s) will be permitted. Single leaf, mono type leaf and/or any type of slider and/or any composite leaf type applications will not be permitted.
  12. Coil-over applications of any type will not be permitted.
  13. Aftermarket coil springs will be permitted. The coil spring location may be altered; however, the center line of the axle tube may not be any further forward than the front of the spring or not further back than the rear of the spring.
  14. Spring adjusters or jack bolts permitted on all four corners.
  15. Hydraulic ratchet and/or electric weight jacks are not permitted.
  16. Aftermarket master cylinders and brake pedals will be permitted. Brake bias adjusters are ok.
  17. Brake floaters will not be permitted.

Wheels & Tires 

  1. Grooving and siping will be permitted.
  2. Bead lock wheels will be permitted on all four corners.
  3. Defacing or altering any of the manufacturer’s identification markings, letters, works, numbers, on any tire will not be permitted.
  4. Track tire, Hoosier M-30, Hoosier M-60, Hoosier H500, and Hoosier G60 are permitted.
  5. A maximum 8” inches wide steel racing wheel will be permitted. Aluminum and/or magnesium and/or mag-type and/or homemade wheels will not be permitted. 1-inch O.D. magnetic steel lug nuts must be used on all four corners of the vehicle.

Safety 

  1. At MINIMUM a competition-type 4-point roll cage is required and must be constructed with tubing that is minimum of one and one-half inches in diameter, with a minimum of .095 wall thickness. A minimum of three horizontal door bars is required in the driver’s door (four bars highly recommended). A minimum of three horizontal door bars or X construction is recommended for the passenger’s side of the car. Three vertical driver protection bars are required in the windshield ahead of the driver. You may run front and rear bars through the firewall, with 1 kicker bar to the frame. A radiator protection bar is optional.
  2. DRIVER HARNESS: Five or six points, two or three-inch-wide racing harness is mandatory. It is very STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that the belts are SFI approved and no more than 3 years old from the date of manufacturing.
  3. Head and neck restraints are required every time on the racing surface.
  4. An approved, SA2010, SA2015, or newer helmet (Snell sticker must be in the helmet) is required. No M rated helmets will be allowed.
  5. An approved complete racing fire suit, fireproof gloves and fireproof shoes are required.
  6. Driver side window net recommended but not required.
  7. A full containment aluminum seat or racing seat is highly recommended.
  8. All batteries that are mounted inside the driver’s compartment must be completely enclosed in a marine-type box with a lid and mounted securely.
  9. All weights must be securely mounted with two half inch bolts and be painted white with the car number clearly marked. All weights must be mounted under the body of the car.
  10. Fuel line from trunk to the engine compartment must be steel, steel braided, or Aeroquip line. No rubber hoses.
  11. If fuel cell does not have aircraft style positive seal filler neck/cap system- a flapper, spring or ball type filler rollover valve is required.
